Jennifer Steinkamp has been a favorite of mine since her 2006 survey at the San Jose Museum of Art. Side note: July 1st 2006- September 24 2006 was the best that SJMA has ever been in their entire history. Edge Conditions with Listening Post & World Processor; Kathy Aoki; and Jennifer Steinkamp’s takeover of the entire bottom floor? Utterly magical. So glad that I brought a group of 40 or 50 to see. SJMA, get your act together and do it again.

Anyhow, if you’re in LA, ACME. will be showing Still Life by Jennifer Steinkamp. I’d go see, so you better.
